Bernard Pras

Bernard was born in 1952 (Roumazières, France). He lives and works in Montreuil. At the confluent of Pop and performance, in the current sense of the terms, he invites us into his world that is at once simple and cryptic, and where a sense of humour imposes itself as a obligatory open-sesame. Using a work-process that is singular on the current scene, Pras effectuates constant back-and-forths between defiguration and figuration, or maybe it's the opposite, who cares! Here, it's both illusion and optical magic that take hold.
